THE BIO NIGHT BAY KAYAK TOUR

This evening come join us for a relaxing paddle in the Bioluminescent Lagoon. Transfer to Fajardo, which is located on the eastern part of the island. Glide along the beautiful secluded coves and calm inlets, while enjoying the rare glimpse of wildlife not visible by any other means.

Your guides will show the glowing effect of the microorganisms resulting from energy sources directed to molecules in the water system. This biochemical process is so efficient it does not emit heat. It is possible in part because it is controlled by enzymes called “Dinoflajelate”. These act, as a catalytic agent reducing the amount of energy needed to control the bioluminescent reaction.
